Starting now, I'm not going to use the adjective "crappy" to describe 1970s complexes. At some point, an apartment manager that runs these is going to see this blog. Besides, just because I prefer the 1920s stuff doesn't mean that everyone else does too. The Monterrey was built in 1973 and it's right off of 20th and Hawthorne at 2048 SE Madison. They have a one-bedroom for $625 which is great if you consider the fact that Vincente's Pizza is a block away. 503-233-7376
