Icovia Room Planner

I think I'm going to start using this once the market starts to turn and renting apartments gets harder. Until then, it's a neat little tool to play around with when you're trying to decide if your new apartment is big enough to fit all of your stuff. I'm horrible at dealing with flash applications so I couldn't steal an image to post here, but it seems like a fun application.

Santa Maria Apartments

The Santa Maria has a 2bd for only $745? I know it's just a Weston special, but that seems like a pretty good deal considering the location (SE 20th and Salmon). Maybe it's the one that faces the pool, because that could get pretty annoying. But hey, that might be easily overlooked considering it's about half a block to the Eastbank Farmer's Market.

Be sure to check out Green Renter when you get a chance. The site is less than two weeks old so it doesn't have too many properties on it yet, but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty successful as more and more people become conscious of how their overall health is affected by their surroundings--especially if those surroundings happen to be where they eat and sleep.

Rent-o-meter is a fun tool, although I'm not sure it's just a lesson in comparing apples to oranges.
