I was walking home with some take-out from Screen Door the other night when I saw that 131 SE 24th has a one-bedroom available for $725. Built in 1930, it's only 12 units so I bet you can keep your Dreft in the laundry room and no one will steal it. It's over a block away from Burnside so the street seems pretty quiet. $725 is a little low, so unless the apartment is really tiny, this seems like a pretty good deal.
