Portland Rose Apartments

I was browsing youtube today when I found this:

It seems to be a two-bedroom on NW 23rd for $945/mo, which seems like a great deal to me considering my two-bedroom on 40th and Powell is going for $745. I'd gladly pay an extra $200/mo for the neighborhood. At any rate, I'm glad that there's finally another apartment manager out there using youtube. 503.274.7178

ANOTHER UPDATE: Looks like I shoulda kept my mouth shut. According to the website the $945 price is no longer accurate. My guess is that it didn't decrease.

131 SE 24th

I was walking home with some take-out from Screen Door the other night when I saw that 131 SE 24th has a one-bedroom available for $725. Built in 1930, it's only 12 units so I bet you can keep your Dreft in the laundry room and no one will steal it. It's over a block away from Burnside so the street seems pretty quiet. $725 is a little low, so unless the apartment is really tiny, this seems like a pretty good deal. Adare Manor

This is just a little out of my neighborhood, but I was out there today and this place looked so awesome that I had to put it up here. Adare Manor has a one-bedroom available for just $740. According to their website, the "hardwood floors create golden warmth," which is about the cheesiest thing I've heard since the property management gods required us all to use the word "sparkling" to describe everything from light fixtures to toilet handles. But this place looks totally sweet. It's two blocks from Noble Rot and the rest of restaurant row. 971-533-9151
