Bar-muda Triangle House--$1200

I just got a call from a friend of mine that owns a house on 51st and Hawthorne, and it's going to be ready to rent in about a week or so. All I know so far is that it has hardwood floors that are being refinished this week. I'll update this post as I get more info (and pics), but if you know anyone in the interim that wants to live up in the Bar-muda triangle then send them my way. I'll buy you a beer.

Belmont Court

One of my former buildings is kinda in the news.

Curry Court #8

This studio apartment will be available Wednesday, October 17th:
This 440 sq-ft studio features hardwood bamboo floors, true-marmoleum floors in the kitchen and bath, dual-flush Caroma toilet, full shower and bath, brushed steel appliances, sustainable maple cabinets, high-efficiency lighting, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Located at 11 SW Curry, it's just down the hill from OHSU, and a short walk to NCNM and a medium walk to PSU. The aerial tram passes overhead about two blocks to the north. It's a block from the bus stop on Barbur and is close to the Lair Hill Market and Pub. Across the street from the community gardens.
On-site laundry, bike room, and off-street parking.
Here's a quick video of the place:

$695/mo includes water, sewer, and garbage.
$40 application fee.
$100 cat fee.
$100 move-in fee
$400-$695 deposit depending on credit and rental history.

Google Street View

Here is--for better or for worse--the google street view links of the buildings I'm currently renting:
Sellwood House
Curry Court
Creston Villa
Lynnwood
Warnell
Queen Marie

I'm a little embarrassed that my fence at the Lynnwood was broken when their little camera car drove by.

Sellwood House 1410

UPDATE: This apartment has been rented.
I have a really sweet one-bedroom available. It's on SE 14th and Boise in Brooklyn, and it's probably one of the cooler one-bedroom apartments I've seen.
Here's a list of some of the amenities:
Original oak floors from 1906.
All utilities included, including electricity, heat and gas.
Cable included.
Wi-fi included.
Two entrances (one exterior, one interior).
Yard. No one has a yard anymore. This apartment does.
Cedar picket fence w/ gate around said yard.
Off-street parking.
Eco-friendly apartment.

$40 application fee
$100 cat fee
$100 move-in fee
$400-$875 deposit, depending on credit and rental history.
Rent is $875, and that includes everything. You need only write one check per month.
It's almost (ALMOST) like having your own small house.

WTF?

Can't tell if this is an advertisement for a vacant apartment, or just someone bragging about their hardwood floors:

At any rate, that bathroom would look a lot better with tile.
Any guesses on which building this is? My guess is the one across NW 21st from Anna Bananas next to Wildwood. I forget what it's called...

Highland Terrace

Could it be true? Is there an apartment out there vacant long enough to justify actually putting the "Vacancy" sign out? Not according to Reliance's website, but hey, maybe they just haven't updated it lately. Highland Terrace is on 21st and SE Madison. 503.244.1359

"Psst! Got a place to rent?"

The Oregonian has an article about how it's such a landlord's market out there right now. Like you didn't already know that.
